Prior to the regular °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ meeting, a Public Hearing will be held concerning waiver applications. CPS seeks to renew three waivers: (1) a supplemental general state aid waiver based on Section 203.20(a) of the 23 Illinois Administrative Code to allow the district to allocate supplemental general state aid funds using current student enrollment information; (2) a food service waiver based on Section 34-21.3 of the School Code to use a request for bid or a request for proposal process in securing food services, and (3) a school improvement waiver based on Section 18-8.05(F)(2)(d)(2) of the School Code to conduct full in-service days.
Testimony from educators, parents and members of the public about the proposals will be taken during the public hearing.
Speaker registration for the Public Hearing will be held from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on the 1st Floor of the Madison Street Lobby. The Public Participation segment of the Public Hearing will conclude after the last person who has signed in to speak has spoken, or at 9:30 a.m. whichever occurs first.
